The main component of 6000 series aluminum alloys are magnesium and silicon, which are characterized by medium to high strength, heat-treatable, anodized, weldable and good corrosion resistance. Its tensile strength grade is about 250~450Mpa. Product uses are mainly applied in construction materials, heat-dissipation materials (such as 6063); bicycle parts, forging materials, pipe routes (such as 6061); bicycle parts, automobile parts (such as 6082); sports equipment, forgings (such as 6066), etc.
Commonly used 6000 series alloys are:
6063 series (aluminum magnesium silicon): 6005 6060 6063 6101 6105 6106 6151 6463
6061 series (aluminum magnesium silicon copper): 6005 6005A 6061 6070 6105 6261 6N01
